SteveSvoboda.com & CepheidDesign.com is the sole creative work of Steve Svoboda, musician- and- multimedia- designer- at- large, Chicago, IL.

Born in the Ozarks of Missouri, Steve later grew up in scenic Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and attended college at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota where he graduated with a B.A. in biochemistry and philosophy.

Web design and journalism had been hobbies during his college years (beginning in the Netscape 1.0 days for web and Quark 3.0 days while working up from copy to A&E to managing editor of the Hamline newspaper), and ultimately became a career... focusing primarily on effective e-commerce design for high-traffic sites. Steve's work has been seen by millions in the Hollywood blockbuster "Knocked Up".

Steve actively consults on freelance e-commerce projects in addition to working full time as creative director of the McBride Group, Chicago, IL.

In his spare time, Steve is usually in Thailand.

Steve also is sick of referring to himself in third person in this bio, but hey, I was trying to make it sound all professional like a bio on the back cover of a book or something, give me a break :P

July 13, 2008: I need to make weekly updates to this page to keep it linked in my Google index to SteveSvoboda.com home page. No problem.

August 3, 2008: Looks like I've locked down the #1-3 spots for Googling Steve Svoboda. Hooray for me. Time to move onto the next search terms ;)

September 22, 2008: Updating my portfolio and getting prepared for a potential big move.
